THL Gourmet Foods Inc. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. To fulfill our operation needs, we are looking for a Full-Time Delivery Driver with D/Z License to make local deliveries.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated 10-Ton Tandem Truck Driver to join our team and support the growth of our Food Service business. This role involves local and out-of-town deliveries, safe handling of goods, and contributing to excellent customer service. The position requires frequent movement and lifting, so physical stamina and attention to safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with MTO requirements.
• Safely transport and deliver products to customers on assigned local and out-of-town routes.
• Handle goods according to client specifications, including lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
• Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and power jack tools as needed.
• Obtain delivery confirmations and verify that products meet customer expectations.
• Support weekend deliveries or out-of-town routes when required, including occasional overnight stays (Ottawa, Windsor, and other locations).
• Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to road safety, traffic regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain proper care and operation of the assigned vehicle.

Requirements/ Must-Haves:

• Valid D/Z driver’s license and a clean driving record (CVOR required).
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience with a 10-ton tandem or 26ft reefer truck.
• Physically capable of handling product deliveries, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Independent, self-motivated, and reliable.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:

• Multilingual skills (e.g., Chinese) considered an asset for serving diverse client bases.
• Additional commercial driving experience beyond 3 years.
